The primary sales focus of Prairie HVAC is the commercial and industrial HVAC/R market in Manitoba and northwest Ontario. Our experienced mechanical sales staff has a solid foundation in equipment selection and strong contacts in the mechanical engineering community. We supply equipment to contractors tendering open bids, invited tenders or design build projects including air conditioning & refrigeration systems, air handling units (packaged, custom, rooftop, unitary), gas-fired heating equipment, hydronic heating / cooling equipment and heat recovery systems. Prairie HVAC works closely with mechanical engineers and building owners to optimize energy savings on design build projects. We are active in the bid specification market in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario and an active member of the Winnipeg Construction Association plan room.  
 

Our sales objective is to quote approved equipment at a competitive price to the bidding contractors and allow them to carry our price to their advantage in the base bid. We regularly introduce new product and models to the mechanical designers for use as the basis of design or for inclusion into the base bid specification with full equal status. Alternately we apply for full equal status on projects where our equipment is not initially listed as an equal product.  
 

The Prairie HVAC sales philosophy is to request equal status only in support of equipment that meets the required capacity and will do the job. Our typical equal request includes specific selections and engineering details, particularly for equipment not well known to the designer. Mechanical engineers are willing to grant full equal status to comparable equipment to enable a competitive quote. Our detailed shop drawing submittal includes an equipment schedule with complete performance and physical configuration detail to allow prompt engineering approval.
